WAYNE COUNTY CLERK OF COURTS
Juror Information
Persons receiving a mailing from the Wayne County Jury Commission have been randomly chosen for a pool of prospective municipal, petit and grand jurors.
Prospective jurors must immediately complete the juror questionnaire and return it in the self-addressed, stamped envelope. All information received will be treated confidentially. It is important to provide complete information so that the prospective juror can be qualified to serve or excused.
If a prospective juror encounters circumstances, such as personal emergencies, reasonable accommodations will be made provided that the court has adequate notice. Every special circumstance will be addressed on an individual basis.
Please remember to keep your summons available as a reference. It is important to bring the summons with you on the first day of service.
Jurors who have been summoned to appear on a specific day for a trial may contact the court the night before the trial, after 5:00pm, to hear a recorded message. This message will inform them as to whether they are to appear, or if the trial has been cancelled.

| If a juror fails to attend and serve a term, without having been excused, the court may impose a fine; direct the sheriff to arrest the juror; compel the juror to serve; or find the juror in contempt. |
