From the Director
The Wayne County Department of Job and Family Services provides a wide array of services to the public in need, enabling them to improve their lives and the lives of their children. Many of the services are listed below. A dedicated staff of 70 serves a county population of approximately 115,000 people.
We have had much success but we are just getting started. We will be supporting a local grass roots program, which will match interested Agency clients with community allies forming a circle of support. I believe that this program can be a powerful addition to the existing Workforce service mix to help people move from dependence on government to independence.
We continue to build upon our strengths and I thank the staff of Wayne County Department of Job and Family Services for their daily efforts to help the most vulnerable citizens in our community.
